Apparatus for the limit determination of arsenic according to Pharmacopoea 2.4.2 Arsenic is a toxic semimetal that can enter groundwater through leaching from ores, among other things. Plants, such as rice, absorb arsenic through groundwater. Through the consumption of rice, the arsenic eventually enters the human organism. Ingestion of critical amounts of arsenic can lead to skin diseases, damage to blood vessels, and tumours of the skin, liver and urinary bladder. The arsenic limit determination apparatus can be used to determine whether a sample contains arsenic.
